The following link is his induction speech in the HOF. Honestly, I did not expect such a speech. I believe that all of us can relate to his story in one way or another. But, I believe for all sportsmen his reasons why he played basketball are values which we should all cherish.

For the Love of the Game
Dennis Rodman, one of my favourite basketball players ever, just got inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame. His extravagant lifestyle and penchant for surprises made him not only a fan favourite but also a nightmare for the establishment. However, he finally got his dues for being the great basketball player that he was.
